This past Sunday our Bible verse was:
My Father will honor the one who serves me. John 12:26
And there's only one way to serve God. We have to keep our eyes on Him alone. In the last part of John chapter 21 Peter once again is following Jesus, but he turns around and looks back at John. Then Peter questions Jesus about why John is following too. Jesus immediately corrects Peter. Jesus says, "...what is that to you? You must follow me."
That same message is for us. We must keep our eyes on the Lord and follow Him. Don't become sidetracked by looking around to others. Let's train our children to focus on God alone so their paths may be directed by Him and His purpose fulfilled.
Don't forget this Sunday, May 29 is BGMC, Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge. Bring all of your coins and dollars to add with ours and we'll help get some more orphanages built and Bibles printed. Praise God for an opportunity to touch lives across the world!
If you would like your BGMC offering to go to Convoy of Hope as they help tornado victims in the US simply mark Convoy of Hope on your envelope or send a note with the Buddy Barrel.
I'll see you Sunday for BGMC,
Ms. Heather

Un-Hindered....Sunday, May 22
Hello everyone,
This morning during Un-Hindered we started our Puppet Practice. These kids are gearing up to minister to children in the park this summer. We're so excited!
If you have any full-bodied puppets you would be willing to donate to the children they would be so appreciative.
This is fun way for the children to witness :)
We meet again Sunday morning at 9:30.
I hope to see you there :)

Sunday, May 15
This past Sunday we talked all about Thomas, the Doubter. Our memory verse was from John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me but still have believed."
We know we are blessed, but what about the "doubters"? They may need to "see" Jesus in order to believe. My prayer is that they would see Jesus in us all the time.
Next week during Un-Hindered we will be working on a ministry activity so we can take Jesus to the people. I look forward to seeing you at 9:30 for prayer and Un-Hindered.
and don't forget: BGMC is on May 29.
If you have not turned your boxes in, this would be the time to bring them.
So continue to save your coins and bring them in for the missionaries on May 29!

Mother's Day
This morning in Un-Hindered we put together toiletry bags for the homeless ministry and then we prayed over them. We talked about how blessed each of us are, and how this ministry helps those who are in need.
During church we learned about six different mothers in the Bible. And we talked about our role as Christians towards our mothers. God expects us to CONTINUALLY honor our mothers. I hope more than anything this is something that sinks in deep and takes root, because a child is known by his actions. He is known by whether his conduct is pure and right.
May their conduct always be pure and right.
