Sunday, August 21

We wrapped up our "Back to School" series by talking about Moses.

In Numbers chapter 20, God told Moses to speak to a rock to get water for the complaining people of Israel.  However, Moses did things his own way and struck that rock with his staff instead of speaking to it.

It's so important for our children to learn to obey the Holy Spirit's leading.

We should trust God no matter what.

Our way of doing things will NEVER be better than God's way.

Proverbs 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart.

What an important lesson for us all.

CrazyTown Sunday August 14

We're still continuing our"Back to School" lessons with Numbers 17.

God punished the Isarealites for this offense on more than one occasion.

We must obey our leaders and not challenge them continuously.

When we realize that it is God who places our leaders in their positions, then we cannot argue or complain.

Our memory verse for the week:

Obey your leaders. Put yourselves under their authority. They keep watch over you.

I hope the children are applying these lessons and letting their lights shine at school!

Un-Hindered

Did you know each Sunday morning we meet @ 9:30 for prayer?

We start  with sharing our prayer needs and praises and then pray together as a large group.
We have been keeping prayer journals so we can remember to pray for each other during the week and so we can look back and see God working.

Then the children break up into their prayer groups to pray again.
The prayer groups are children they choose to meet with and share their
most personal prayer requests and praises.

Prayer is such an important part of the Christian life.
And praying for one another is a privilege.

Remember to pray with your children.

In Christ,
Ms. Heather

Un-Hindered

New puppets have arrived once again.:)

It's so exciting to see the children use these tools to organize a worship service for outreach.

They have been working on three songs as well as various puppet skits and one human skit for their service.

Our next goal is  to seek God's direction for the message we will present.

We hope to go out into the community with this outreach service starting in September.

Please support them with your prayers.
These are truly the missionaries of Georgetown.

JBQ Practice

Junior Bible Quiz practice will start next week!

Tuesday, August 16  @  3:15.

Lydia Moore will host practice at her house this time.

There will be a sign up sheet at practice for you to volunteer your  home for practice.  We hope to take turns so this will not become burdensome on one family.  I hope everyone who is able will participate.

So far we have enough children participating to have an A-League team as well as a B-League team.

There's still room for more.  So encourage your friends to join the team with you.

Contact Ms. Heather for more information about JBQ or how you can get involved.

Sunday, August 7

We are enjoying our worship time in Kidz Church.  We have new lights and some new leaders coming up.  It's really exciting to see the Holy Spirit work through these young people.

In our Bible lesson we focusde on the  book of  Numbers and talked about the fact:

God does not like complaining.

We focused specifically on Numbers 16:28-33

Our memory verse for this week is:  Philippians 4:11
I have learned to be content no matter what happens to me.

I hope all the students will have a safe and enjoyable time starting back to school tomorrow!
