Silly String, Water Balloons, Slime and m&m's.......
And that's just a little bit of what you'll see, experience, and do @ VBS in the Park!
Come bring all your kids, friends, and neighbors to the Scott County Park next week.
We'll be at the pavilion close to the playground.
It's going to be a great time!

This Wednesday, June 22
We're taking it to the streets! Or at least to the park :)
Join us at the park on Chambers Street this Wednesday @ 5:00.
The children will be a part of proclaiming the gospel with their puppets and song. Our Praise Band will be there to lead us in worship and there will be preaching and prayer.
I hope you'll come and join us. Your children do not have to attend Un-Hindered to help us. Bring the whole family out and minister to this neighborhood.
There's always something you and they can do!

In Kid's Church this morning we talked about Father's Day, of course. And we talked about the fact that we are adopted into God's family.
But have you ever considered this most unusual adoption process. It's completely backward.
We have a loving, Heavenly Father that has already chosen us. He's waiting for us to adopt Him!

VBS ~~ In 10 DAYS!!
VBS in the PARK!!! June 27-July1 6:30-8:00 p.m.
I am so excited!!
You should be too. We've added lots to the schedule. Make sure you wear your play clothes because that's what we're planning for you. Lots and Lots of play!
We're registering you starting this Sunday! Pick up your invitations to hand out at the check in table.

We have a date! Puppet Ministry June 22!
On June 22 @ 5:00 p.m. We will meet at the park on Chambers street to minister to the children there.

Lift Off!
Today we read Acts 1:1-11. We talked of Jesus' departure and how He didn't LEAVE us.
We also talked of Jesus' return. Many will try to deceive us claiming they are the Messiah.
But -- we will know Him because He will return the same way that He left.
Acts 1:11 This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.

VBS In the PARK!!
Yes, we are having VBS @ the Scott County Park.
June 27- July 1 6:30-8:00 each night.
We will cancel any night that it is raining and resume the next night.
Come prepared for a great time of FUN and GAMES!! And brings your friends!!
Our signs will start going up around town this week and I'll have invites for the kids to hand out on Sunday.
This will be an event you won't want to miss! Get ready for water balloons, great activities with your Ranger commanders, awesome snacks under the pavilion on the hill, and lots of fun exciting games to top it all off. We have a special toy coming. Can you see it on our signs?

Puppets, Puppets, Everywhere!
Our new puppets are in and the children are loving them!
We started practicing our skits to take out to the park this past Sunday. The children picked their own skits to work on with a partner. We hope that by practicing them repeatedly, even our non-readers will be able to ad-lib the "message" of the skit.
The plan is to use Wednesday evenings to minister to kids and families in the park. The specific dates have not been scheduled. I will let you know what they are as soon as possible.

Kids' Church.....June 5
We talked about the Great Commission from Matthew 28. Jesus commands us all to go, make disciples, baptize, and teach. It's so important for our children to realize this is a command for them too. If you are a follower of Jesus you are "commissioned" to be about God's mission.

Pow-Wow 2011
Pow-Wow is June 24-26, 2011. Your Rangers are planning for their big weekend. We need your help in supplying the food for our Outpost. The boys will be responsible for cooking and cleaning up after their meals. Below is the list of items we need. Please see me at church by June 12th if you can donate any of the items. All items need to be brought to church on June 19th.
